UNITED WOMEN OF WHOLENESS MINISTRY (U-WOW)

The United Women of Wholeness (UWOW)  Ministry is committed to serving the community by placing special emphasis on women empowerment and teen mentorship to young ladies.  In love we strive to enable and enrich the lives that we touch in acts of service and give support spiritually, physically and emotionally.  In Matthew 25:40, Jesus says, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” UWOW strives to accomplish this command.  We encourage other women to get involved by attending our monthly meetings held every 4th Saturday, at 11 am, in the Gus Johnson Community Center and will be blessed by your presence. For more information, please contact Sis. Dee Dee Pitts at 330-604-2705.

DEACONS MINISTRY

The United Baptist Church Deacons ministry consists of a group of 5-10 men assigned to the office according to 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Deacons are servants to the congregation and mutual helpers of the pastor. Some of the duties of the deacons are to administer the temporal affairs of the church including serving the “tables” (poor, church, pastor). Deacons also participate in leading devotion during worship service. Meeting times are every Tuesday before the first Sunday of each month. For more information, please contact Deacon Leo Armstrong at (330) 836-8067, ext. 112.

DEACONESS MINISTRY

United Baptist Church Deaconesses are appointed to serve the ministry by attending to the needs of the benevolent and sick and shut-in under the direction of the Pastor and/or Chairman of the Deacon Board. They also serve by assisting baptismal candidates and preparing/maintaining the elements of the Lord’s Supper.

UBC SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY

The United Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry nurtures our youth by investing in their future. They provide scholarships to area youth within our church and community. To date, more than $30,000 has been awarded to community scholars since its inception. For more information on this ministry, please contact Sis. Towanda Mullins.

HOLY HANDS (INTERPRETING MINISTRY)

The ministry prays that God will lead interpreters and deaf members to find a place to belong at UBC Church.
