Rev. Kevin G. Rushing was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the blessed union of Pastor Melvin and Carolyn Walter Rushing along with siblings: Keith C. and Kendra M. Rushing. He attended and graduated from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2003. Rev. Rushing is the Assistant Director of the Student Accounts Office at the University of Akron where he has been employed for more than 7 years.

Rev. Rushing committed his life to Jesus Christ in 1987 at the Second Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, LA under the leadership of Rev. Leo D. Cyrus and answered a call to the preaching ministry in 2001. He received ministerial training at the United Baptist Church under his father in the ministry, Pastor Kenneth W. Paramore, Sr. for 11 years serving in the various capacitates of Choir Member and Director and Campus Ministry Fellowship Pastor. He has since studied at the Bradley Bible Theological Institute in pursuit of his Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling.
